~ Neptune’s evolution ~ Beneath fine sandy rubble, ocean’s castoff lay Seaweed draped entwined, round amber shell Echoing the oceans roar, in hollow isolation Bekeoning the white foam’s mammoth swell Waves of liquid emerald, sliding to and fro Loud winds blowing, stir wild… slumbering depths Neptune’s seashell tumble, onto barren shores To lay in wait of water’s frothy crests Luring slowly inch by inch, into waters dwelling Lain once more to lull in aqueous sleep God of the sea, returns crustacean children To rest amongst sea creatures… of the deep. I agree with everyone here Bonnie, this is such a beautifully drawn landscape of the sea and its creatures. I could actually see all the crustaceans being scooped up by the waves on shore, and taking them home to the sea. Writing is one thing Bonnie, but your writing draws such nice, clear portraits of what your mind sees. Well done sis. May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. Ah,, yes, the big pond deposits its strays onto the shore, but as if lonely, ssoon reclaims them for her own. Pretty nice wording here.

Again, a great pleasure to read your poetry, Bonnie, reminding me of the immediate visual and sensual experience it offers and the beauty of the linguistics and form your sentiments are wrapped and couched in. Glorious! I like the way this poem breathes, like the silent underwater stillness of unseen ebbs and flows. A real sense of light and colour in this one, too. Enjoyed greatly! TY Kate xx
