A Guide

Guidance taken pen to hand

Calling out my name you have

Though at times I not believed

When answers came I disagreed

Sometimes taken painfully

Lessons learned my destiny

Nary once you left my side

Though not seen I do confide

Already known my life decide

Just hang on tight endure the ride

On the chart of life aside

I take your hand and walk beside

Faith behold you, I am here

Never wary, I will steer

Though fear will hinder all you do

I will always see you through

Before your birth a contract made

Arms will hold you all the way

Snippets seen, yet you said yes

For in life it is the test

In spirit grow among the rest

Although not easy I attest

Worth it all, you have been blessed

As your guide, I am with you

Sometimes not seen, although you knew

I take your hand and lead the way

Although at times you also stray

Your path a step not far away

Each one learned along the way

You only must believe I’m here

Never falter, strength be near

Trust in me, I’ll never leave

In times of darkness you’ll receive

Shared tears of love, I hold you tight

I am your Guide from greater heights
