When I lived on my farm --
No one took notice of me,
But all said that I ignored
To cultivate my corn fields.
In a time of trouble and attack,
No one took notice of me,
But all said that I had no
My American guts and soul.
But that I did not work my fields,
Honest to goodness, was because
I never met with a good year;
And that I did not do service
For my great country was because,
Despite my efforts, I didn't meet
With the suitable opportunity to do so.
I've been sent about my business
By the neighbouring farmers,
And am driven away by the judge
Of our county --what is my crime?
My goodness! How is it that
I've met with such a terrible fate?!
So, give me a chance to show my worth
On the X-Factor's stage to become
Loyal and famous in the American way!
Love ya!
