Oh boy! I'm going to Hollywood!

Movie stars, paparazzi, red carpet,

And countless celebrities again. . .

I'm in. Such a Big Deal! Who knows,

Maybe an Academy Award, or two.

That's right, two figurine of Oscar,

The Idol in both hands with pictures

On the famously known coverman,

Here and there, all the way. Yeah,

I'm getting into the movie biz, man!

At least that's what

I was told the other day

While at a movie theatre.

That's a great play!

I was about 15 minutes

Or so earlier

Armed, as usual, with popcorn

And a can of cola

Ready to see the newest blockbuster

With Mark Wohlberg as starring,

Cross my heart and hope to die.

Nowadays, before the slew

Of coming attractions begin,

There are usually pre-roll ADs

Playing on the silver screen.

That day was no different. Oh geez!

So many wasted AD dollars,

I thought to myself,

Until the Grand Invitation came out

Which thundered in my ears,

"How'd you like to get into

The movie business," the next AD began.

"Now's your chance!"

Whoa. . . what's this! Hmmmm. . . .

Me in the movie business? Interesting.

The AD continued, "That's right.

Here at the movie theatre we offer

Exciting employment opportunities,

A friendly environment, room for growth,

And a great way to step into the movie circles."

Huh? What? A job at the movie theatre?

That's what they meant by "getting into

The movie business"?! Oh, no! So disappointed.

Yet so impressed about a chance of being

At least the second Mark Wahlberg, no less. . .

Let's hear it for "Hollywood!" Hopes and dreams evaporate to dust unless you're a J.Lo or a Kardashian.

Just remember, all you got to do is "Act Naturally". And I'll bet you can get all the popcorn you can eat, and while you're at, get me a box of Rasinetts.

A bit of a change of pace for you, Alex, but good fun with a message. Thoroughly enjoyed. Is this the real you?
