Sometimes it's difficult letting a Christmas tree go--one that's been used for so many years.
THE TREE'S LASTSTAND
The faithful old tree, just eight feet tall,
All its boughs thoughtful against the wall.
With its icicles straight and its lights all aglow,
With its trinkets all shiny and sprinkled with snow.
Below are its presents all comfy and warm,
On a skirt that is tattered, wrinkled, and torn.
Its trunk's somewhat crooked, just up near the top,
But this won't be one thing for which we must shop.
This tree's like me in multiple ways:
Old and misshapen, blemished, and frayed.
Yes, this tree's been 'round for many a year,
So tossing it out brings sadness and tears.
SO YOU HAD TO TOSS THAT OLD TREE OUT, BUT YOU'RE GOD'S 'TREE' DAVID, AND STILL STANDING AND WILL ALWAYS BE...ON THIS SIDE AND THE NEXT. THANKS FOR THE SHARE, MY FRIEND. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

I hope you never throw out your wise old tree.
