God has always known about me. Yes, even billions of years ago.
Each day I thanked God for allowing me to live another day. And so, He delivered me from a war-torn land.
Billions of Years Ago
billions of years
before planet Earth
was spoken into existence
as many years ago
as one followed by a hundred zeros
and even before that
God knew about me
He knew the exact millennium
even the split second
I would make my entrance
into the world
God knew my hair
would be stubborn and brown
and He chose hazel coloring
for my eyes
just as He knows
how many droplets of water
it takes to fill all the
rivers and their tributaries
at any given time
He knew the exact
number of hairs
I would have
on every square inch
of my head
on the ring finger
of my left hand
and both big toes
God was aware
billions of years ago
of all my
physical and mental idiosyncrasies
that make me distinctive
as an individual
His knowledge
awareness
and understanding
of me
have been complete
and unlimited
throughout eternity
I understand your words David...My God is whatever created this unique and magical Universe...the unseen power that operates the unconscious rhythms of the body...all this we take so for granted...but the evidence is surely there...

What an inspiring poem, David, and comforting to contemplate. The Bible says before we were even formed in the womb, He knew us. This is a powerful and very beautiful pen. I would much prefer to go through life believing in a loving Father and a powerful Savior than to think I am on my own with no divine love and help. Thank you for this wonderful expression of faith.
Your faith filled poetic insight is well-received. Despite the offense and bone-rattling unbelievers, pagans, and know-it-all's demonstrate at times, Jesus Christ still remains the Lord and Savior of His creation. He is the way the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Him. Amen. Never in my life has my faith been stronger than it is now; I see yours is too. Food for thought.
ORIGINS... or DESTINY?
The idea that life evolved, as evolutionists claim, should be the laughable position. But some Creationists insistence that Earth and Man came on the scene together have the evolutionists laughing at Christians instead. As to how to answer the questions of the offended scoffers: I would say that [neither] Scientists, Theologians, or the intellectual clerisy, have all the answers to questions about our origins. The most important issue confronting us, though, is not about our origin; it’s about our destiny, and the alternatives are clear. It’s either believe the Most High God of the Bible or don’t. Since we will never know from experience that we made the right choice until it’s too late; believing God is the only logical thing to do. If believing Him is wrong we’ll simply get the destiny that was always intended for us; no harm, no foul. But if we’re right, we’ll be blessed beyond measure. (1st Corinth 2:9) However, for unbelievers, scoffers, and mockers, it’s just the opposite. If they’re right they’ll get the destiny always intended for them. But if they’re wrong they’ll be separated from the Creator forever. It’s a no-brainer. Maranatha.
When I wrote the above piece, it was not my intentions to be offensive to anyone. Instead, my purpose was to show how I feel regarding how my presence in this world was made possible. You see, it is much easier for me to believe that all the inner workings throughout this vast universe of ours was made possible by a Supreme God than it is to believe that it all came about through happenstance alone. It is also my belief that He gave each of us our own free will to either accept Him or not accept Him. He offers Himself to us freely and does not force Himself on anyone.
While it is a pleasant myth that some kind of entity, a God, knows and sees all, there is absolutely no evidence that this is true or even necessary. Any thinking person knows that we shape our own destiny by our daily actions and decisions. No one is destined to follow a particular path. It is really freeing when one takes responsibility for one's actions. Otherwise, it is easy to either blame it on God's plan, or rest in God's plan. Both of these are fundamentally what we would call in our day, a "cop out."
Because we have an opportunity to choose our attitude and focus our intentions in the present moment, the world and our own personal lives are a reflection of our thoughts. It is our 360 degree review on how we think. Put simply, our job is to fully
