Throughout many years, I have written poems for Special American Holidays.
This is merely an attempt to present their Titles in some sensible poetic form.
So - off the top of my head - here goes!

Just today - about a poem written Seventeen Years ago -
“Let Freedom Ring” - 1/3/92 -
When first published in The Price Club Journal -
The Publishers forwarded to me a letter of Complaint -
an Indian Gentleman, by the name of Harvest Campbell,
was upset because I failed to mention The Red Man in my list therein.
My reply attempted to explain that - by Choice -
This poem was about Immigrants - not Natives.

Amen to that, my friend; and sadly, in spite of its citizens. I sadly remarked to my wife, as we walked all about on this year's Flag Day, that very few of our fellow Americans even seemed to remember it - we saw very few flags flying on Flag Day.
Christmas - only days away; plastic snowmen and glowing reindeer adorn the lawns of neighborhoods all across America. All is calm, all is bright, and yet there is something tragically wrong about this Christmas night.
