Did you ever take time to think about Our Real Heritage?

Sure, we all know the old Ditty -
“In 1492, Columbus sailed the Ocean Blue.”

His three ships names were:
The Santa Maria, The Nina, The Pinta.

And, of course, The Vikings, and Eric The Red -

And, somehow, our Namesake was Amerigo Vespucci, right?

BUT - PERO - WAY BEFORE -

These Guys and the Spanish Conquistadors,
And the Pilgrims, the Puritans, The Quakers,
The Candle-Stick Makers,
The British, The French, The Irish, The Dutch,
The Portuguese, The Explorers, Settlers and Such -

LONG BEFORE -

Those “Amber Waves of Grain...”
And those “Purple Mountain Majesties...”
There were Local Inhabitants -
Indigenous People - Tribes - Nations-

INDIANS!

American Indians!
North American Indians!
Their Voluminous Types, Names, and Varieties -
DEFY Enumeration!

Algonquins, Iroquois, Mohawk, Oneida, Seneca, Seminoles,
Onondaga, Cayuga, Tuscarora, Sioux, Mohican,
Apache, Navajo, Athabaskan, Na-Dene, Arapaho,
Cheyenne, Huron, Teton, Lakota, Dakota, Omaha, Delaware,
Okanagan (almost sounds Irish, huh?) ...

Get the picture? A whole GANG of Indians!

Their Languages, Dialects, and Linguistic groups -
Are also like - attempting to count the Stars -

Hokan-Siouan, Chumash, Yuman, Micmac, Wakashan,
Dakotan, Choctaw, Muskogean, Chickasaw, Creek, Omaha,
Ojibwa or Chippewa, Okinagan,
And more - More - MORE!

Now - think about all the Old Western Movies -
All of our Cavalry, Cowboys, Settlers -
Trying to ‘converse’ with the “Natives’ -
“HOW?”

This brings to mind the Famous Story of none other than -
The Lone Ranger and Tonto, his Faithful Indian Scout -
Their were surrounded by Whooping and -
Hollering Indians, on The Warpath, no less -
And Clayton Moore says to Jay Silverheels -
“What are we going to do, Tonto?”

Reply: “WHO’S WE - WHITE MAN?”


Next - Consider the Entire Map of North America -
HOMES - The Five Great Lakes -
Four out of Five are Indian Names -
Huron - Ontario - Michigan - Erie -
DUH?

Review a simple printed list of The Fifty States -
Ever Count how many are Indian Names?
State Capitals - Principal Cities - Territories -
Rivers - Lakes - Mountains - Prairies -
Streams, Creeks, even Trees -
Giant Redwoods are SEQUOIAS!

Ditto for Our Great Northern Neighbors in CANADA!
Is That Itself not an Indian word?

Would a more Apt name be -
“The United States of India?”
or even, “North India?”

Talk about MISNOMERS!

Now, think back to those Westerns, or “Oaters”
WE, THE WHITE MAN, STOLE THEIR HERITAGE!
And we all Know what happened to the RED MAN -
HE - THEY - GOT SCREWED ROYALLY!

If this Travesty of Justice does not far Out-Weigh -
That of Slavery of the BLACK MAN -
I don’t know what does!

So - in Synopsis, we go Full Circle - In Past History,
All of the so-called ‘Advanced’ Civilizations,
‘Explored’ the World of the ‘Backward’ Nations -
STOLE all of their Natural Resources -

Raped, Pillaged, and Burned -
All in the name of ‘Progress’ -
And Now, Centuries later -

We Piss and Moan and Groan -
And have a “Hissy-Fit”
About none other than -
ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION!
DUH?
