Family, friends, fine food,
and a festive air ---
these are some of God's blessings,
which we share.

As we are about to partake of this
Thanksgiving feast,
let us remember poor ole
"Tom Turkey",
that magnificent beast.

Then, there's portly ole "Porky Pig",
who provided the ham, so juicy and big.
"Elsie", the cow, donated the milk,
which some will drink,
also, her butter which melts
"quick as a wink".

"Buffalo Bill" gave us the beef,
as tender as can be,
next, there's all the "veggies"
waiting for you and me.
"Mr.Potato-Head"
gave up his skin for us,
after coming from Idaho,
with no ado, or fuss.


Then, there's peas, n' corn, n' sausage n' such,
and after the vittles --- cakes and pies,
those no one will touch ---
well, not too much!

Lord, we thank You
for each and every
special thing from above,
but, most especially ---
the folks all here,
sharing their Love.
