From The Cross “All forsook him and fled.” Those are original words. The only true words. Nobody was there. Nobody knows. The words we have about this Are not remembered words- They are invented words- And not to serve His purpose. So listen now… “Why? How? What am I doing here? I loved. That is all I did. They needed me. I saw it help. I felt the recognition As each received me And found their way home. Why this? It can’t get worse… Unless, in their fear… People believe it is my Father’s will… To kill me.” John H. Bidwell

Searing and timeless interpretation of the death of Jesus, John. And you are correct, no one knows for sure exactly what happened. History is written with a biased slant always. We are seeing it rewritten even today to the point where old is being replaced by new, self-serving points of view.
