Sometimes, a dark cloud appears,
A piece of harsh reality enters into time,
Whose vague shadow enters into the mind,
A perceived misery is suddenly born,
Pieces of the heart now suddenly torn.
When children cry, they keep on crying,
As if their happiness seems forever dying.
As if their little world will never ever end,
As if they don’t know how to stop the flood,
As if they have already given up and let go.
Then the sadness is gone,
Drowned somehow in the river of tears.
The salty, briny drops have splashed down,
They cannot stop as they continue to frown.
Their faces puckered, their eyes lowered,
The sadness of the world lies at their feet.
The crying is over but the tears still flow;
They heave themselves and shudder, ready to go.
They feel better, they sigh, and they feel strong;
A life runs through them that can do no wrong.
For now, they are ready for another new day;
In crying out their misery, it has simply gone away.

Hello,
Congratulations.
It is a very good poem. It is descriptive and at the end the reader must feel the release a child must experiment after crying.
Oh WoW!
I've never read anything that comes this close to making me FEEL the crying of a child, like you do here with this poem.
Got me right in the heart. mAN O man...
Never stop writing, you have a way with words!
Now, having a new baby to cradle in my arms and love, I see and enjoy all of the coos and "crys" as the sounds of new life and purity emerge. Your write is very touching and lovely!!
Children have a reason for crying. They seek their mother's attention. If they don't get it, they cry harder. One of the biggest mistakes a parent can do is cater to every crying fit their children have. It's a great way to start the life of a child that is always dependent on experiments for support and encouragement.
Why do we as adults deny ourselves the unconscious wisdom of children? Why do we react to the slights of others with destructive anger when tears possess the power to heal? I was touched by this poem. Rebecca
