Someone asked: “What do you do?”

I build houses,” I replied

“What do you put in them??

Windows to see into my inner rooms

Doors that lead to the land of adventure

Passageways on a journey into the unknown

A cellar with a foundation of principles

An attic all of my beloved memories to hold

A bedroom with projected dreams

A safe room that protects life’s mystery

A living room filled with nature’s beauty.”

“Where do you live?”

“I live in the poems I have written

My poems are the houses that I built.

My readers are my invited guests,

Welcome one and all into my house.
