You thought it would be chilly here; You are mistaken~it is not. Autumn barely stirred the air, Like summer, but not so hot. Winter paints in shades of brown-- Pine needles, acorns, and leaves. Still, the greening grass abounds Between discreetly thinning trees. The temperature might dip a bit But not enough to frost or snow. By time you light the fireplace, Winter packs his tent to go While Spring launches her fashion show.

I like your kind of winter!!!!! I'm in the cold north :-) Nice write.
I do know those Texas winters well, and I am not fond of them. Too mild for my tastes! (I lived in Ohio until 4 1/2 years ago, and I am used to *SNOW* and *COOOOLLLLLDDD*!!) Good write, though; the imagery and visuals are excellent, and this is a fine write! (((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Burleson, Karen Lynn. :D
