A pregnant lady near her prime
Awaiting a new arrival,
Moving house at such a time
and doubting her survival,
With Doctors orders she’s out of line
and in need of some revival.
I know it goes against the grain
for you to stay recumbent,
But now is the time to relax again
as a ‘Lady in Waiting’ abundant,
From arduous tasks you must refrain
for you are temporarily redundant!
If dust you see do not get fussed,
don’t rush to dust and polish,
Remember the phrase ‘dust to dust’
it could be a friend you demolish!
So with your index finger out-thrust
draw pictures to give you solace!
You know you’re not supposed to drive,
by the doctor it was forbidden,
And now that you are not so lithe
by the ‘bump’ the wheel is hidden!
I really think that you should strive
to do as you were bidden.
Sit in the garden and soak up the sun,
never mind about ‘cleaning the hob’
It’s time to relax and have some fun
with new friends and Ellie and Rob,
But remember when all is said and done
just don’t forget us, the Yorkshire mob!
