This is a Naga-Uta I wrote for Cheryl B Sellers and her kitti-kat 'Cat' who likes to bring her presents, some not always appreciated!
Cheryl’s kitty-kat
I am a hunter A very special feline Cheryl’s kitty-kat. I catch creatures that have wings Sometimes dragonfly Make it go round in circles By pulling one wing, Present for mistress cheryl. Gave her locust She say I am clever cat And strokes my soft coat So I bring her special gift, A lovely green frog, cheryl screams and jumps on chair She is scared of frog And has a friend remove it Take it back to pond. Now I am disappointed She not like my gift, I brought her a handsome prince All frog needed was a kiss!
haha yes I know what you mean Jackie. But its my neighbours cat that brings me gifts....including a fish out of my pond!!!!

Oh Jackie this is priceless! I know my cat Sam has these same thoughts when he brings me "presents", i.e., butterflies, moths, chipmunks, moles - - - he doesn't understand why I don't stick them on the BBQ grill and serve 'em up for dinner! Cute write...very!

PS: Thank you for your comments on my husband's poem. He does write (see link to his website on my AD den at bottom)...just not many poems. He has several short stories, what he calls 'flash fictions' and the fictional obituaries which are hilarious. I think he is so talented...and I am glad to see others feel the same. ;) Thanks again.
Homer's Ill Iliad & Odd Sea Odyssey (420 pages) is an adult satire/parody rewrite of the classic stories of the 10 year Trojan War and of the 10 year adventure of Odysseus trying to return home to his native Ithaca.
