Missing Muse

It seems I’ve been abandoned,
deserted by my Muse,
I can’t find any inspiration
in our picture postcard views!

It was with me in the hospital
cos I wrote of Aesop there,
But since "The Great Escape"
I can’t find it anywhere!

Ed’s ABC of BUGS
ignited a little spark,
I tried to meet the challenge
but now I’m groping in the dark!

It’s said "You’ll find it where you lost it"
if you retrace your movements,
But I don’t want to go back there
don’t need any more improvements!

If it found its way to Theatre
it’s probably shocked to the core,
No nice romantic drama there
just lots of blood and gore!

If you find my Muse wandering
confused, lost and alone,
Put it on the right path
and send it straight back home!

Aw, that was too cute. I hate it when my muse runs away, trying to
find a new one just messes up my day. :0)
Have a good one!

Love, Evelyn.

Oh Jackie.....our muses can be fickle at times but they ALWAYS return home eventually! Besides, this poem of yours is proof that you don't always need the muse - your talent shines beyond the muse's hand!!
