Etching In Winter

A picture created in the night
Addresses a new day---what a sight
The quiet dusting of the flakes
All the clouds could make.

As night turns into likely dawn
The mind could hardly grasp
The trees and twigs the fancy lawn
All the same dressed in white.

Sometimes the words are hard to find
When beauty careens into your mind
The picture designed one of a kind
It quietly takes my place.

The morning stillness creats a pause
All together to not see the flaws
But winter fairies dance the dance
A true prelude to a secret romance.
