My friend Burton

My friend Burton
Died as he had lived
Beyond his means !
But he was a good man at heart
Who believed in Life
And the enjoyments
It has to offer,
Yes, He was a realist
Who didn't believed
In any thing too hard
On the brains like
Philosophy, religion
And politics
"It's all a racket !"
was his favourite phrase
"Take time to enjoy
and don't forget
to smell the roses,
the poet was right
we come as water
we go as wind !
Eat, Drink and
be Merry"….
And don’t forget
to pay for my casket!”
were his last words
poor Burton,!
with all his faults
he was a dear
friend to me and
I will miss him
dearly.
