The drums pounded loudly
drowning out the loud screams
that came echoing through
the cold dark jungle night

screams of pain and anguish
that made even the animals
take flight in horror,
for there staked to the ground

laid the Evil Slave Master
squirming in pain and fright
before a dozen pair of eyes
of the slaves he mistreated

constantly on his plantation .
They looked on with pleasure
at his present predicament
remembering the cruelty

they received at his hands
the whippings , and other cruel
humiliations that took place
He begged for mercy.

But none was forth coming
as the giant flesh eating ants
took their bite, piece by piece
into the squirming
honeyed coated body.

In a hut, not far away.
a frenzied witch doctor
poured the last set of flesh
eating ants honeyed coated

effigy of the Master
covering it completely
a smile of glee and delight
on his face!

Epilogue

The next morning
they found the bare skeleton
of the Master still
staked to the ground.

He showed no mercy
and received none ! for
As you sow,
so shall you reap!

The immutable Law of Life !
