The declaration of the Iraq war has put all speculation at rest
It has shown that vested Interest can result in unprecedented and unparalleled zest
Despite protests from North, South, East and West
Uncle Sam did what it deemed best and embarked on a dubious quest
It remained indifferent to pan-continental protest.
It deliberately ignored worldwide unrest
Instead of trying to keep abreast
It deemed public opinion the world over a pest
Roosevelt should not have created the United Nations
If in this manner if its authority his successor had to divest.
Unfortunately there is nobody powerful enough to use other means than request
One almost misses the erstwhile USSR,
at least then the USA would not have dared to unilaterally wrest.

It is obvious that this action does not call for inquest
For History will deem this an unwarranted conquest.
Which generations to come shall detest.
Who can justify or rationalize such an uneven contest?
No self respecting impartial authority shall attest.

Invading another country is an International rape; collaborating on it an international incest.
Whether it is done on Uncle Sam or somebody else's behest
Even otherwise, unwarranted interference everywhere is unwelcome; why must USA molest?
When it is hell bent on being an Unwanted guest,
Even if other alternatives are available, who will suggest?
Artists, culture, sports can unite the world; we need people adroit at song, dance and Jest.

Although world wide opprobrium it tried to manifest
The information revolution and mass communication failed the acid test
What good are all the advances if we fail to arrest
Such an obnoxious exhibition of Vested interest

One day the United States may have to pay for it with the other interest.
Everything that goes up has to come down; there is no permanent crest.
One does not become powerful by merely augmenting one's war chest.
September 11 revealed that defense systems can prove no safer than a bird's nest
Instead, if the United states had acted in enlightened self interest.
It would have realized that the stress filled 21st century
Calls for servant and mother leadership; pictorially a child sucking a mother's breast.
Instead of Nuclear weapons a transcending, uniting multicultural software should infest.
