Evening Reverie
It's been a warm day with a North wind blowing,
The curtians in my bedroom window are ballooning,
The light is fading into a hazy grey,
I hear bird calls sounding from near and far away,
Across the street in his favorite gum a wattle bird calls,
An unusual sound almost like an opening dragging door,
Away in distant tree lorakeets chattter noilsily,
In moments when they briefly stop a kooka burra add s hus voice ,
A pleasant time to reflect on the events of a warm spring day,
As twilight deepens late bird pass overhead, winging their homeward way,
I hear the xcited twitter of fairy wrens, returning to their nesting bush,
The whoosh and beat of a magpies wings, homeward bound in a rush..
Light is fading, being replaced by a hazy grey,
The sound of thunder in the distance, heralds a storm is on its way
Quietness decends only broken by the sound of a passing car,
I count my blesings, to be able to have God's beauty surround me from near and far.
