You know the book series I mentioned? They talk about hiking half dome in one of the books. This seems apropos, just don't pop your knee like the poor Ensign.

Great Haiku - We visited Yosemite before leaving California in 1985, if I had had the money available, we would have stayed right there and bought a motel. It is such a beautiful place, God's country. When my husband Jim was a young boy in the Scouts, they used to go camping there and watch the 'Fire Fall' from El Capitan. I don't think they do it now, push a huge burning tree trunk off the top. We were lucky enough to get a cancellation when we turned up there and we stayed in one of the timber built lodges for four days, it was wonderful. Jackie <> <
i am going to be going that way when we go to california in july! can't wait to see the mountains again! (never been to california, but i have seen the rockies in utah, colorado, and wyoming! beautiful mountain scenery; i love it! here in texas it is flat, flat, FLAT! ICK!)
