this was inspired by Jerry Bolton's Autumn poem, thank you Jerry
The long sleep is upon us, the time of renewal squirrels gather nuts to put in mother natures deep freeze salmon swim up stream, to spawn becoming sacrificial offerings for bears who must fed and make ready for it's winter hibernation deer and other beast of the fields put on their winter pelts summer vegetables, deep root ones as well await the autumn harvest giving forth new seeds to be dried for next years wealth fall vegetables await the coming of frost to sweeten their leaves the long sleep is upon us, all nature takes heed

Beautiful, cheryl! Makes me miss home where they actually have 4 seasons to the 2 here.
This is gorgeous, so in tune with nature.
Bravo, and I really wish we had squirrels here in OZ. Everytime i see them on TV in movies they are doing something funny.
PS Hope your not in hurricane territory!
Blessings

Wonderful nature write. Yes Jerry's write is inspiring. I think I'll go take a winter nap.
Explore the mystery of how nature makes unexpected gifts of creative wonders to an unsuspecting caregiver one late night and early morning in southeastern Georgia, USA.
