Your branches have shed their leafs of summer green and now you darn a cloak of winter's pearl white in place of green grass at your gnarled roots in the pristine snow are marks of animal hooves winter's sun shines down with reflected iridescent glare hoar frost, coats and weights down your clothed limbs lovely hanging ice crystals looking good enough to eat resembling rock candy on christmas tree sprigs and twigs morning frost on a ice pond resemble stain glass panes a quiet most prevalent pervades the chilled air waterfalls freeze in a frozen cascade as if in mid leap mother nature in her gown of frosty white sleeps as father time creeps ever forward towards spring thaw
