The days are growing longer now
I'm seeing skies of blue
The Spring rains seem to understand
I have a job to do

In Summer I'll provide the shade
For all the ones I love
Squir'ls nest in me as do the birds
That fly so high above

My job in Autumn is to drop
A blanket on the ground
Protecting grass and tender plants
When Winter snows abound

That's when my job again is done
Snow gathers round me deep
Until Spring once again wakes me
Covered in white I'll sleep
