History lesson with lemon...no just messin', still you might enjoy this...

Poem Artwork

Barnegat Light…

Not just another light scanning the sea,

For the mariner to follow and really well see,

Pointing out shallow water, on their lee,

Both sailors and fishermen alike, of this century,

And the past, have followed her light to the home of the free…

Not just a tourist attraction, on federal land she sits, never a retraction,

Sits where she was in the first, and still in that same place,

Never from one way or the other, moved, not even a fraction…

Barnegat light, a part on NJ’s history, like that of her other lights,

She has seen some really big fights, wars, blights and many nights,

Storms, hurricanes, Nor’easter a many, this light has seen it all,

And still she stands against mother Natures ill will; never did she fall…

Dearest Darling, it's Been a Long, Long Time: World War II Love-lett by Dr Tony Hopper

325 letters my father wrote to my mother during his time in World War II. Woven together in a timeline of events of three of his brothers, 5 brothers-in-law, and one cousin, all 10 of them were in WWII at the same time.
