Bear with me, my muse & now apparently my humor are out doing lunch together...what the hell they needed a break I suppose...LOL!

Poem Artwork

Sunscream…

Can’t lay out in the sun,

The cold makes it no fun,

No surfing, nor swimming in the sea,

The water temps below fifty…

Already do miss the summer,

Winter at times can be a bummer,

Seasonal affective disorder makes me feel dumber,

Maybe for my internal sadness I do need a plumber…

Gonna be warmer tomorrow,

Oh my god a heat wave, sixty degrees,

Will go to the beach with the dog,

If it gets nice enough, a wet suit I may need to borrow…

Know we will traipse on the beach,

Trying to keep people out of reach,

The ocean smell will flush my system,

Won’t be coming home till late in the pm…

I have warm sunny exposure here every day, even when the temp drops below 40 it is 75 in the sun. Only exception is Jan.

Sounds like fun but out on my new deck that my dear hubby built after the sun comes up. It gets rather toasty. One guy said he is building a big bon fire from all the brush he piled up after the storm. I am taking hotdogs, corn on the cob and some marshmallows to that one.

Epiphany by Gary Stephens

“We’re going to use nine megaton warheads in space and we’re not sure they’re large enough to be effective. Why would you even consider using kiloton-range surface-to-air warheads as back-up?” The answer was succinct. “Because they’re all we have.”
