...and still I carry on

Somewhere back in the nineties,

Before I knew of my depression,

I thought that life hated me,

And knew for sure I hated it…

I took myself to the shore,

Nothing unusual though,

This time I brought a hose,

Some duct tape and was ready,

To do myself in, leaving notes & video,

To me I was ready to die, or so I did suppose…

Someone found my video & note,

Before I had the chance to use my hose,

If I had chosen a place much more remote,

I would not be here today to of this compose…

I am so glad someone cared about you Ed and saw your life had purpose. Life is a training session and there will be test and we are God's creation equpped to endure pain and pass all test. God is love and we are an espression of His love and if we call He will answer and defend! Peace!!! I remember my black days thanks for sharing.

Lil'brother, we are blessed that you didn't or this world had been a lot of a more empty, and, your brothers would only have each other to pick a fight with.
Well, you didn't then and I didn't succeed in 1963, looks like we are from the family that couldn't shoot straight.
Love you bro.

Sadly most of us go through this in our lifes at one time or another and the lucky ones of us are either saved or come to our senses in time... sadly so many others don't.

Ne'er to compose, only to decompose. Well done, Ed. There is always hope if one asks for it. I am glad we can meet together like this. Your poem proves, God has a plan for you, at least for today to write this poem to help someone else know they are not alone. Thanks, Ed.
