Poem Artwork

Is it what I write,

Don’t doubt it though I might,

Rhyming is seeing a light,

Is rhyming second sight…?

Writing how I do poetize,

Verse just so many lies,

Seen by reflection in the eyes,

Of the poets ability do you of him despise…?

Or is poetry each writers own,

The poets cover is then blown,

Writes his best when he is alone,

Writing about things from the unknown…?

Real poetry is words written from within the heart, soul and mind. It's all beautiful and it is real Ed.

I write best about private parts... Just don't post or publish 'em cuz they're private.

The poets cover is then blown <--- on the money. Read 20 poems by a poet and you can build an accurate picture. Or thus far I have found.

To me poetry can only be defined by the poet as, as art can only be defined by the artist or music defined by the musician. Do we really need someone to say what is good poetry and what is bad. NO, it is a matter of taste and if we write what is on our minds or in our hearts we can call it poetry if we want to. People talk of Haikus or tankas, odes, etc but what were they really before some writer decided to call them by a name? So write on my friend...

Far too much is still unknown about the diabolical old Jersey Devil; you should write more poetry about him (inquiring minds want to know).
