Missed I did the anniversary,

His death on August 8th, of 1995,

I will remember him in my nightly rosary,

This write dead-icated to him only cursory…

 

A hundred or so shows did I to go,

Dead head till my dying day,

Then for certain my head will for sure be dead,

Hope I spend my last minutes in my own bed…

 

Jerry Garcia for President,

Better someone dead than what we got...

Probably heard him play in Panhandle Park back in '67, but then to me, he was just another nameless rock band trying to make it in the City. Peace, love, and all that shit... turned into one big drug addiction and burned out.
