Sleeping in a strange bed..

Weirdest dream I have had of late,

Recalled it totally, not so great,

Something about working at a store,

Convicts & space ships, but no one did of me rob,

I dreamed it was good that I at least had a job...

I assumed it was from sleeping in a strange bed,

Maybe it was from the movie I watched,

And it got in my head,

It had vampires in a bar, that may have of me lead,

To the crazy dream (s) I had last night,

Where with all my customers all I did was fight...

Could have been what before bed I ate,

Just some chips & chocolate milk,

But apparently enough to invoke a bad dream,

Oh well, awake I am now, hopfully no more dreamin' today, that would be great...

Funny, I had a dream about the woman in her 60s who sat on the barstool next to me lame at the strangely named bar in Santa Cruz California when I was there with my cousin, also in her 60s when I was in my 20s. She asked me for a light to the chagrin of my cousin. She was definitely on the make and I woke up from my dream wondering what it would've been like to take her up on her advance back then. Hell, even with white hair, she looked good enough to take her up on it.

My cousin, on the other hand, fully made up, looked like a warmed over version of Bette Davis. Still, we were out together that night and there was no way she was going to let “the other woman” take me away from her crying her eyes out for her deceased husband at the turn of the new year.

Thanks for the memory.

Ron

Don't you just hate dreams like that? I know I do. Well done, my friend.

I've been there, Ed, in those strange beds. Strange beds that began innocently enough, but wound up wide-awake nightmares.

Vampires in a Bar - Was it the great Tarantino movie From Dusk till Dawn? If it was, I suggest you watch it again. It's even better the second and third time. And you just can't beat Salma Hayek table dancin!
