Dinner Date...

So many more things involved in dates nowadays...

Dinner Date…

So much more than just dinner,

Herein we have to rate,

Just how our date,

Treats us, takes care of us, what he drives,

If he stands for us when we stand,

Or pulls out the chair, or opens a door,

As a gentleman should do,

Or does he treat us like,

All the other whores he has taken to a motel and screwed…

Okay so you go to the motel, does he pull down the covers?

Making them so neat and folded at the bottom of the bed,

Or does he throw them off on the floor,

Thereby making us really feel like that of a whore,

Does he undress us slowly, or rip our clothes off?

Does he request to do this or that, or does he command?

Does he make it worse to sound like that of a demand?

Is he the one that strips first, or are you made to feel like the man?

All this and more is a part of only a dinner date, nowadays,

As most turn into a jaunt to the local Best Western,

Even if you don’t feel the desire, he may, for sure, as if you were hired…

Hey, he says, I paid for dinner, I opened the door for you, I was the perfect gent,

But being so does not give him the permission to take what he wants,

You are still human, you are still the one, to make the ground rules…

Ed, I must say, this was an excellent and sensitive piece, well written from the perspective of being on the otherside of the door. Oh BTW, just got hooked up down here with my laptop, and the moonrise over the ocean last night was splendid, I mention this for I know how much you enjoy the ocean.

Standing On My Knees by Pinkstone

I met Jerome on a busy city street in Baltimore, Maryland, when he was forty-five years old. On that particular day, I was out and about, enjoying a much-needed day off from work. I wanted to purchase a sukiyaki sub. I parked my car in an area of
