Tom, John and Ben...
three great men
who said stuff way back then
when this country was brand new.

If only we listened to what they had to say,
things would be quite different today.
But with a new election on the way
there is still time to change our view.

'twas Thomas Jefferson who said...
"The democracy will cease to exist when
you take away from those who are willing
to work and give it to those who would not."

"twas John Adams who said...
"In my many years I have come 
to the conclusion that one useless man 
is a shame, two is a law firm
and three or more is a congress."

"twas Ben Franklin who said...
"When the people find they can
vote themselves money,
that will herald the end of the republic."

Might I suggest we all listen to these three.
Decide on a candidate... exercise our responsibility
turn up at the polls on election  day and
assumme our civivic duty and vote early and often.
