Poem Artwork

Double dactyl poem

Mr longfellow rowed

On a drizzling night vowed

  Never to fish in  sea

On wet cold nights

Just then caught a huge fish

 Two hundred  fifty pounds

 Soon went home to flash

 And count his cash

 Singing song Sa Re Ga

 Jenny the old farmer's girl

Mashed potatoes and sause

   Hot cross puffs grilled

Baked in clay  oven racks

  This  tasty fresh fishfingers

Steaming hot tea poured on

 In  tumblers large

Catfish are everywhere. Now that is some catfish. My grandfather was happy with one weighing 35 pounds. I'm not sure what that second stanza is, but it reads like a happy meal the fish made for 100 people!

Reminds me of why I don't fish.
This fish could eat me!
Enjoyed.
