The wonder bird of sport, a winged delight

Breeding in captivity
Hunting partner,ready to show its might
White Owl
The magnificent owl so white
Into my living room, it flew one night
Such a beautiful creature
In the midst of nature
Sensing danger, soon took to its flight
Flemingos
A flock of birds dressed in pink, Flemingos at a jetty
O! how pretty their style and such beauty
Standing in marshlands enjoying the feast
Thousands together migrate, O what a feat!
Together they move like a troop on duty
A parrot, foul mouthing master’s maid, Alice
Soon found itself summoned by local police
In its fury , the parrot rattled
Foul words loud, it was so unsettled
Soon behind bars it was without accomplice

I always thought that limericks were meant to be bawdy, but you have a background in literature, so I may be wrong.
I once knew a fine limerick lady from India,
thrilled me with bird tales and their feathery appendia.
Search as I could, round Mumbai neighborhood,
she evaded my entreaties as though trivia.
