I saw the sun go smiling past

  A  moon faced knight showing  red glowing hours

Hiding  behind the tree  stood moon

Peeping now and then he would

Sun asked, what tidings to carry across?

To  my better half when  sun  would meet

  in office with  team

Brainstorming  target  sales he

  sun  would go down past his door

Noticing him   from corner of the eye,

 Lost in work , at this hour, far away he

 Timings, two  and a half hours behind me

“Tell him his family fine”, I said.

  “Take care, rest all in line.

 Our jawans  patrolling the land

Duty  to self and  motherland  first!

I watch the sunset,beautiful and clear

At our home, where  beach is near

 Hoping  for best

 In  sunset years

Sun then shared with me his tryst

With beauties many ogling bare

On beaches  where they lay themselves

Without a trace  of body wear

 Sun,he  stared at them  from head to foot

 Burn  hot   their cute frames, delicate beings

  But they come,the very next day

 Saying we are having our share of fun!

Tinkling cows grazing in open fields

Crocodiles on river banks laze eyelid closed

Butterflies and bees are all about

Making  most of the day!!

Then I  see  birds flying to roost

Ducks  flapping wings ,

walk web footed  home

On its way ducking  the fox

 On cloudy days, I loose my heat, said Sun

 It remains  for many a day

  Kids don’t come out to play

 Rain plays  pranks at  games

  Cricketing boys  run in and out

I don’t have a say, I stay out!

And so it is many a time

  They have their fill

while I stood as if still

I miss the laughter of kids at snow fall

They  are indoors, wrapped up roll

Wind  cold , frozen balls  are strewn 

My power diminished   as if I didn’t exist

The scene is changed, the list is long

Most   shivering  with grey fall

 Cant bathe them in my hot glow slide

  I know they  wait for my  show

 I come kindly with my light

Thus  my  love for  beings and things strong

Come rain or thunder, dew , frost , snow

 i  try to shine on bright and clear  

 The show must go on  dear~! said he,
