In the picture is our gardner, who knows of the nitty gritty of growing nursery plants as well as grafting of plants.A man with a green thumb.

Poem Artwork

Peterson woodcutter broke a  bougainvilla stem

Cut it to split it in two to three parts

 Sowed each one  into  pot

Watered it, petted it,

Soon there were pots full  of pink petal blooms

Peterson woodcutter sold it  for a pound and few pennies neat

Peterson woodcutter cut up some more

Now rose plants, differently colored  lined up his yards in many rows

One by one they yielded well, some were more some got less

Each day his profts soar

The  coffers filled  day by day

For Christmas the earnings to dip in for a good  feed

To give the extended family an exquisite  meal ,

Gifts an interesting treat!

Came  from the sale of these pot full of  flowering, fruiting plants

The guava tree grafted with  a single fruit hanging from  a tiny potted plant

Strawberry  plant with fruit  striking its juicy red fullness

inviting attention, naughtily lies on a tender stalk

supporting  nature's  creative ways intelligently

Peterson woodcutter now smilingly wondered how his one cut summed up it to his  big sale!!

a new way of earning!!!

Just to the tune of  mother nature he quietly continued his  work!!!!

Peterson the woodcutter owes a debt of gratitude to our poet empress for bringing his life into the limelight and for injecting a bit of humor and humanity into it. Well done!
