It's always fun to be a dunce
And let life go its merry way.
I can never be thought of as clever;
I leave that to those who are.
But with my silly grin I sit
In the corner for the fools.
I never was a smart aleck
How could I, a dunce.
Nobody had high expections
Of where I would end up.
That made life so easy
As accolades later came my way.
Somebody always feels sorry,
For the guy with the pointed hat.
They don't threaten anybody,
Because they're just a dunce.

proves it and shows your sense of humour.
It's sooooo true. Respect is rarely given to those who are
smartest, brightest or wisest. Accolades are for those slightly
better than mediocre. It's the Short Neck Syndrome.
Most people can't crane far enough to spot the truly tall
poppies so they focus on the flower that are just about
their own heads. Thankfully... not always.
With warm regards Isabella.
