Seldom am I short of words
Or lack the desire to spin a yarn.
We Irish are talkers, and act on our words.
Rarely, if ever, will they cause you any harm.
Just a great BS artist, looking for a laugh.
If you don't see a smile on my face,
Better to pass me by, as it's not my day.
Like an old story about a woman and her lace.
An old organ grinder usually has a monkey,
Who will take what change you can give him.
The music is very pleasant, as is the monkey
Who can steal you blind while you watch him.
But it's fun, if your're broke and have nothing to lose.
The little monkey is cleaver when he finds you are broke.
He will tip his hat and move on, but you will find a quarter
When you thought you were broke.
