I wrote this poem for my granddaughter who is a bacon-aholic.

 BACON

I love bacon.

Bacon tastes great.

Fry me up some bacon,

And pile it on my plate.

Give me a bacon cheeseburger,

Or a BLT.

But skip the” L” and “T”,

I’ll just have the “B”.

Bacon has royalty,

It’s the Prince of Pork.

You can eat it with your fingers,

There’s no need for a fork.

When it comes to bacon,

Let there be no doubt.

I’ll turn into a hog,

And really pig out.

Simply charming. I'm sure your granddaughter loves the poem as much as her bacon. I'm a bit worried though. Childhood habits can lead to health problems early in life. In the case of bacon, less is better, not more.

I can't figure out why a BLT tastes so damn good. It is such simple ingredients that match so well. But I think it's the bacon that turns the trick. Bacon can even be used to tame wild tasting meat that wouldn't be edible otherwise. Source: The Herter's Cookbook.
