I NEED A NEW BED

I need a new bed,

I’m sorry to report.

My feet hang over the edge,

It’s a foot to short.

It’s lumpy and bumpy.

I climb in and sink.

I’m always grumpy,

Because I can’t sleep a wink.

There’s a spring poking through,

Jabbing me in the butt.

I can’t lie in this bed,

And keep my eyes shut.

It squeaks and creaks,

As I toss and turn.

It rocks like a boat,

From stem to stern.

The bed frame is broken,

And the angle is steep.

I need a new bed,

And a good night’s sleep.
