Ducks Rock!

Something to quack about.

 DUCK’S ROCK!

 

Quacky the duck,

Had a plan.

He wanted to start

A rock & roll band.

 

Quacky wanted to sing,

And play guitar.

He wanted to be,

A rock & roll star.

 

So Quacky got a guitar,

And he started to jam.

“Duck’s rock”, said Quacky,

And a rockin’ duck is what I am.

 

Quacky was soon joined ,

By two of his chums,

With Lucky on bass,

And Doozy on drums.

 

The band was complete.

They were known by every duck in town.

And being ducks,

They could really get down.

 

They became big stars.

They played on DUCK T.V.

And that my fine feathered friends,

Is how Quacky and The Quacker’s came to be.

It's really nice to see quacks as musicians rather than fake physicians. I'l have to see if my Aflac covers convulsions from laughter. That's Aflac, not quack quack!

I love the phrase, "They could really get down." You amaze me at the diversity of subjects you are able to write about. I'd like to get a peek inside your mind. There must be a lot of dancing and singing in there.

Indeed, I am not surprised by Jane's comment. Kids would love this. It's amazing how they plug into the simple rhythms of poetry. And they played on Duck TV, hey, why not. I get it. John

I had company this morning and they brought their little girl, aged 5, with them I read this to her and had to read it three times to her. She would clap her hands and yell, "Ducks Rock!" afterwards each time. It warmed my heart!!
