I'm with John. If folks would only write down all that talk and take a critical look at it, they would probably shut up very fast. Of course, now with cell phones having video capabilities, all we have to do is take a video of some of these blabbermouths, and then show them in action later and perhaps we can embarrass them into learning to say more with fewer words.
That's exactly what I tell my female students, who love to talk. They are long on words and short on writing, which is what I am trying to teach them. John
