WAS THAT A HERD OF GAGGLES?

(ANIMAL GROUPS)

If there’s a group of animals,

All gathered in one place,

Each group has a special name,

For the animals in that space.

Everyone’s heard,

Of a herd of buffaloes,

And it’s called a murder,

When there’s a group of crows.

It’s a gaggle of geese,

All honking their horns.

And when they fly in the sky,

They fly in “V” shaped forms.

A group of mosquitoes is a scourge,

And though it’s hard to tell which is which,

It’s the females that bite,

Suck your blood and make you itch.

A group of sharks,

Is known as a shiver.

A group of porcupines,

Is called a quiver.

It’s a pride of lions,

Those big jungle cats,

And they’re called a pack,

When there’s a bunch of rats.

A group of buzzards,

Is known as a wake,

And it’s called a den,

When there’s a bunch of snakes.

It’s called a bed of oysters,

Or a pod of whales,

And it’s known as a bevy,

For a group of quails.

If it’s a group of bats,

It’s known as a cloud,

And a whole lot of people,

Is just a crowd.
