A short poem for kids.

 WHERE DOES THE WIND GO

 

Where does the wind go,

When the wind doesn’t blow?

Does it hide in the trees,

Dancing through the leaves?

 

Where does the wind go,

When a kite won’t fly?

Does it play with the clouds,

Up high in the sky?

 

And when the wind doesn’t blow,

Do you ever wonder why?

It hides in the lungs, silly… All you have to do is purse your lips and blow… ;-)

Serially, this is a wonderful question poem to pique children's interest in science.

I wonder why they call it meteorology? There's no meteor in it…

Brilliant! A great questions worth pursuing as you have done here. I am working on a poem called "A Hole in the Wind". Not sure I can finish it to satisfaction, but now I have an idea, perhaps the wind falls down its own hole. It's a thought. John
