Come and play a word game with palindromes. Look for the quotation marks for palindromes in this poem.

 PALINDROME CITY

Forwards or backwards,

To us it’s all the same.

Welcome to Palindrome City,

We’re so glad you came.

See a real “Avid Diva,”

Or our troupe of “Star Rats.”

And every good “deed” you do,

Is recorded in a book of “stats.”

You can ride in “A Toyota,”

Or drive a “race car.”

But be on the “level,”

Our police use “radar.”

Have lunch with “mom” and “dad.”

Enjoy a glass of “pop.”

Morning, “noon” and night,

There’s lots of “wow” at every stop.

“Kayak” down the Palindrome River.

“Toot” the horn on your jeep.

When “mum” is the word,

We won’t say a “peep.”

“Madam” “Hannah” will be performing,

Singing a series of “solos.”

Then “Anna,” “Bob” and “Eve,”

Will close out the shows.

Welcome to Palindrome City,

And our words of fame.

Forwards or backwards,

Palindromes are spelled the same.

"Tattarrattat" "tattarrattat" "tattarrattat," or...knock...knock...knock. Anybody home? Oh, hi Michael. Just wanted to say "wow" over "Palindrome City." You are such a clever man. And funny, too. "Hah" "hah" "hah."

Love it! Word games are fun. Here are a couple of others: "Able was I ere I saw Elba," and "Madam, I'm Adam."
