A backwards poem.

 RANDY REVERSE

My name is Randy Reverse,

I’m a backwards kind of guy.

I only go in one direction,

As my name might imply.

Backwards is the way to go.

It’s the only way to walk.

I can tell you what time it was,

I use a backwards clock.

I’ll go for a backwards run.

I’ll take a backwards spin.

And when I’m out backing around,

I‘ll wear a backwards grin.

I bought myself a new car,

A shiny black Backmobile.

It only goes in reverse,

Which is really quite a thrill.

It takes aptitude and agility,

To go everywhere backing up.

I once entered a backwards race,

And won the Backwards Cup.

People will point and stare at me,

When I’m driving down their street.

I’ll beep my backwards horn,

And wave at everybody I meet.

I like going backwards.

It’s been my only goal.

My name is Randy Reverse,

It’s just the way I roll.

This poem reminds me of the Silly Sally books I used to read to my children. We need some fun in our lives and thank you for providing us with it.

Had a great time reading this one (backward in reverse)!
Sometimes I feel this old world is going in reverse.
Like we did in the days of the dinosaur and the cave.
And to think that we used to be the home of free and the brave.

Perhaps we all feel like Randy Reverse since we sometimes feel like we are running backwards all the time.

I had to slam on the brakes and put it in reverse to read that one!

Just yesterday, my tenant with her fancy new/preowned car, had trouble backing out of the garage and needed my assistance. Even though she has one of those backup cameras showing her butt where where to head, she still needed assistance backing out.
