A day in the life of a snowman

 SNOWMAN SNIFFLES

Snowman Sniffles was made by children at play.

Made out of snow on a snowy winter’s day.

In Snowman talk, he was 3 snowballs high.

Snowman Sniffles was a very cool guy.

He was dressed with a scarf around his neck,

And a top hat for his head.

And Snowman Sniffles stayed outside,

When everyone else was warm in bed.

Snowman Sniffles pulled his scarf a little tighter,

As an icy wind blew through the air.

Snowman Sniffles was frozen solid,

Wishing he had something more to wear.

“I get a scarf and a hat”, he said,

“and sometimes a broom to tote,

But what this Snowman really needs,

Is a warm winter coat.”

I read Sniffles 2 first. This one is more cheerful. Someone, please hand him a handkerchief.

Makes me wonder when the sun beats down if Snowman Sniffles has a runny nose and sweats. ;-)

There is something magical about a snowman, whether child or adult, and you have captured that in this poem, with of course your signature humor as well. Enjoyed.
