Ah, Youth!

Summer Belongs To Children

Summer belongs to children
It is their free time to be free

Summer is a time of open play
Days of action and interaction

Summer belongs to the kids
Junk food few clothes no rules

Summer is learning time too
Girls letting boys be friends

Summer is a time for change
In growing up and maturing

Summer belongs to children
Even those no longer young

I think I'm in that last stanza...the children that are no longer young! I love summer, I love digging in the dirt, wading in the creek looking for special stones for my flower beds, and just sitting outside and soaking up the sun! Summer does have a way of bringing out the children in us all! Great write my friend!
Blessings,
Joyce B.

I really agree with this one to the children or to the young at heart for as I get older I sure do enjoy the warm weather more and more.
