human nature

someone asked me a question, and i was some how taken back,

how far do we go to say such harshness, how do we let words take controll of our hearts and mind,

how bright must a day be, before we display happiness,

and how must it be, before we say a word of kindness, a smile, a thought of giving just to give,

how often do we take a step back and see that our house is made of glass, and to cast a stone, it will come grumbling down

yes you see i have come to the conclusion that we haven't looked at ourselves really,

because, if we did, then we will see the bitterness, the harshness, the cruelty, the breaking down of doors, the hatred, and the unlikeing of our soul,

have you every said a word of love, and really meant it, search our self before answering.

you see i have been at many dinner table's, and the mood is sumber, not words, just looks, no comfort, and it has passed by with out a thought, a place of peace you see, a place of giving thanks,

you see, we take a day and we break it down, to a year, to the next day and to later, we have no glue of the happiness dorment inside,

we take it as another, that we know is not promised, and without thought we say no thank you's, no hello's as we pass each other by, if you answer yes then think of our soul, a lie deepens it's self everyday,

and in the end we all need to be laying on a couch, letting a mirror be our psychollogist.

Good write and good self-examination. However, I never say "I love you" when I don't mean it. People should ONLY say it when they mean it.

I had just done a speech on this recently at my Toastmasters Club.
